Synopsis:

When the Enterprise learns that there is a Klingon ship operating in the area, Commander Riker offers to be an exchange officer on board the Pagh. He goes through all the rituals of being an officer on a Klingon ship. But when the Pagh's science officer finds a microbiotic colony eating away the Pagh's hull, and checks his sensor records and finds that when the Pagh rendezvoused with the Enterprise, the Enterprise did an intensive scan of the section where the colony is on the Pagh's hull. When the Pagh's captain blaims the Enterprise for trying destroy the Pagh, he revokes Commander Riker's first "officership," and heads for the Enterprise under cloak and ready to destroy her. (Now c'mon, one Klingon Bird of Prey is going to destroy a Galaxy Class ship? I don't think so!) Unbeknownst to the Pagh's crew, the Enterprise is having the same problem but has found a way to stop it. So the Enterprise sets an intercept course for the last known position of the Pagh. Seeing that the Enterprise is heading towards them at fast speeds, the Klingon captain has only more fuel to suggest that the Enterprise wants to destory him. Commander Riker then takes over the ship and tells the Enterprise to repair the damage to the hull and then everything is merry.
