Synopsis:

After colonizing a planet, the Enterprise stops by in the nearby Rubicun System for shore leave. After the initial away team confirms that the planet is "safe" for shore leave, parties start to beam down. Wesley Crusher soon finds a group of young Edo (the race that inhabits Rubicun III) friends to play with. While playing ball in a park, one of the boys throws the ball a little too far, but Wesley rushes for it and falls into an area that has flowers and is guarded by a white box like thing. He breaks it and soon after two enforcers come to give him the consequence-death. Commander Riker shows up and stops the enforcers before they do their deed. Meanwhile, in space, the Enterprise is encountering a space being that claims to be the Edo god and that the Enterprise better leave them alone or it will destroy the ship. Wesley is still held for a hearing. Capt. Picard beams down and talks to the Edo god, and the god finally lets Wesley go.
