Stardate not given: Quark returns from two weeks on Ferenginar
and announces that he has been diagnosed with Dorek
syndrome - a rare, incurable, fatal disease - and has
six days to live. In order to pay off his debts, he
offers his vacuum-desicated remains for sale on the
Ferengi Futures Exchange, and is shocked when a
500-bar bid comes through. Naturally, Quark accepts -
only to learn that he doesn't have the disease after
all. But then his mysterious buyer - Brunt of the FCA
- arrives...and he doesn't want a refund. Meanwhile,
an accident forces Bashir to transfer Keiko's baby to Kira, and the parties involved must adjust
to the unexpected situation.
