When a battered 100-year-old
ship from Earth -- The Copernicus -- is given permission
to dock at Babylon 5, the
crew discovers two bodies -- a man who has been murdered.
and a woman who has remained in a frozen deep sleep for
one-hundred years. Dr. Franklin (RICHARD
BIGGS) helps the woman, Mariah Cirrus (ANNE-MARIE
JOHNSON), come to life and experience the new world
around her. Cirrus, who has never seen an alien before,
meets G'Kar (ANDREAS
KATSULAS) and as a result has a horrifying flashback.
Franklin wants to interpret her flashback to find out who
killed the man on the ship, who happens to be Cirrus'
husband. Garibaldi
(JERRY DOYLE) suspects that there is a new alien on
board, and the aliens blame Cirrus for any trouble that
has since come on board with the arrival of the
Copernicus. Meanwhile, Garibaldi arrests a strange man, Amis (DWIGHT SCHULTZ), when he becomes a public nuisance at the Zocolo after screaming that Judgement Day is near. Amis, when on board the ship, alternates from rational behavior to frightening visions of darkness and death and Franklin ultimately tries to determine if there is any link to Amis and Mariah's visions |
